The edge of God
What makes God edgy?
Bible bashers,
religious professionals,
intense, pious types
who do their best
to keep her edges
tight, clean,
pristine.
God gets nervous
when she's carless,
can't go out at night
roaming the streets for life,
without risking a ticking off
from the children next morning.
She sits at the breakfast table sulking,
won't tell what she's been up to.
Slips away to her room,
slams the door,
plays her records loud.
